I am doing a practical investigation, changing the temperature of the enzyme polyphenol oxidase, and can not find a data book in which the actual activation energy of an enzyme can be found, in order to compare with the results I obtained.
How can I get this information? Or would you be able to tell me the value?

I have not carried out this particular set of experiments, but I have looked up on Google for you and come up with the following web reference which quotes values which might be relevant:
http://cat.inist.fr/?aModele=afficheN&cpsidt=15925375
I notice that the activation energies are quoted in kcal/mol. To convert these to kJ/mol you will need to multiply by 4.2. Even so, the values are surprisingly small.
Risk assessment
Before attempting any practical work based on the advice and suggestions on this website, you must do the following. Identify any hazards, assess the risks from these hazards, and then decide appropriate control measures to reduce the risks. You must have these approved by those in authority in your school or college laboratory. Do not rely on what is said on this website.
For further guidance see our tutorial on Risk Assessment.
