I have calculated the activation enthalpy for the reaction of sodium thiosulphate and hydrochloric acid and cannot find an accepted value for it to compare with the one I've calculated. Could you please give me one?

A value for this activation energy is hard to find but I have seen 52 kJ mol-1 mentioned in one internet reference: http://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/askasci/chem03/chem03872.htm
This does not seem an unreasonable value for this reaction. I suggest typing 'thiosulphate (or thiosulfate) + acid reaction activation energy' into Google to find any more values that may have been determined.
Risk assessment
Before attempting any practical work based on the advice and suggestions on this website, you must do the following. Identify any hazards, assess the risks from these hazards, and then decide appropriate control measures to reduce the risks. You must have these approved by those in authority in your school or college laboratory. Do not rely on what is said on this website.
