What is a purple molecular crystal that sublimes?

I don't know of any purple crystals that sublime, but there is a very familiar substance that sublimes to give a purple vapour, namely iodine. You have perhaps seen this sublimation yourself; if not, perhaps you could ask your teacher to show it to you, or at least to let you see some iodine crystals. The Nuffield Book of Data describes the crystals as purple-black, but I think they are nearer to grey. What do you think?
